Dear Ambassadors

Dear Ambassadors,
What are some ways CCC members can come together in person besides quarterly Circle meetings and the annual convention?

Signed, Looking for Connection

Dear LC,

Nothing compares to getting together socially for fun with your CCC circles and communities. The experience offers a level of connection and well-being that can enhance your Couple’s self-expression and joy. Here are some ideas that you may consider:

  • Progressive dinner or dessert party If several Couples live close together, you can host a progressive dinner party where each home serves one course of a meal. Or you can host a progressive dessert party where each home serves a different dessert.
  • Game night Getting together for board games or cards and conversation is a simple and fun activity. Share your favorite games, and discover new ones.
  • Bowling party You don’t have to be a pro to have a good time at the bowling alley.
  • Picnic A fantastic excuse to get outside when the weather’s inviting, a group picnic is a low-key way to spend quality time together.
  • Murder mystery night Search Google or Amazon and you will find several how-to-host-a-murder game. You can go all out with costumes and really get into character to spice up the fun.
  • Treasure hunt Lead a group through a series of stations with each station containing the clue to the next stop on the hunt.
  • Local food tour Look for food tours in your area and sign up as a group to enjoy discovering new treats together.
  • Karaoke night If there is a club, restaurant, or bar in your area that does karaoke, you can go as a group. Or you can rent karaoke equipment or hire a karaoke DJ and host an event yourselves.
  • Group dance lessons What better way to get together as couples than to take dance lessons together. Then you can further the connection by going out on group dance dates to put your new skills to use.
  • White elephant gift exchange The rules are simple. Wrap a gift of dubious value (bonus points if its absurd or embarrassing), draw numbers to determine your order for choosing a gift, and enjoy the reactions. To make it more fun, each new gift opener has the right to trade their gift for one that has already been opened.
  • Paint & sip party Get out your paints and brushes and a few bottles of wine, provide a model (human or inanimate) or put on a Bob Ross video, and get creative together.

You may also consider traveling with other couples as a fun way to come together. You could take your group on a two-night weekend adventure. Or you could even create a circle vacation club and plan trips together.

Finally, you can come together with couples from multiple circles by creating a regional circle weekend get-together. Find a place large enough that everyone can make lodging reservations, plan a few group meals and activities to enjoy together, and schedule time to check-in on how your couples, quartets, and circles have been doing this quarter.

Whatever you choose to do, coming together with other members of your CCC community is great for your Couple, and for all the Couples who accept the invitation to play.
