Henry Ford has been quoted as saying, “Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.”

For many members in Couples Coaching Couples, this statement rings true, especially when it pertains to actually working together in business, like Mary Anne and Richard Erickson from the Hudson Valley Virtual Circle.

Co-owners of a very successful take-out café and catering business in New York, Mary Anne and Richard have been members of CCC for 2 years. In reflecting on their experience in CCC thus far, Mary Anne and Richard said that CCC has helped their couple gain “a greater appreciation for each other… which has made a tremendous difference in our experience of Couple.”

And as we all know, not every moment in a relationship, even when you have been together for 40+ years like the Ericksons, isn’t always easy. Thankfully, CCC provides a “rich amount of knowledge and wisdom [included in the distinctions] and toolbox exercises that really challenge and support moving through difficult couple situations.”

Mary Anne and Richard are grateful, not just for the guidebook and skills that they have taken from CCC, but for the structure and training that all member couples receive to be coaches. The Ericksons remember a time when towards the end of a coaching call, they started to tiptoe into a dance. “Our coaches saw the opportunity to intervene and suggested active listening,” they recalled. This type of training and awareness is unique to CCC and it allowed the Ericksons to have a breakthrough in that moment and in that dance.

It is the unique structure, training and accountability that brings so many couples to CCC and provides couples that opportunity to “get the most out of life and joy being together,” Mary Anne and Richard say.
