In the News: New Team Explains Onboarding
Do you remember when you joined CCC? Whether it was last year, or a decade ago, the process is continuously being updated and improved. The newly created onboarding subcommittee consists of the Arbans, the Uhligs and the Jacob/Sewells and is exploring the process of adding new members. Our committee declaration says it all nicely: “We create connection, continuity, & clarity in the on-boarding process for CCC.”
Historically the vast majority of CCC couples were introduced by friends they knew locally. Since the pandemic, more circles are operating remotely and membership inquiries have come from areas that may not be served by a local circle.
With that reality in mind, the operations staff has developed new online tools for inquiries, registrations and payments. The critical role played by source couples includes responding to messages from Ops about potential new members that might be a fit for their circle.
Source Couples had training in January about their roles in the onboarding process. It is important that each circle have members who are able to lead information sessions, mentor new couples, and assist as sponsors.
The Guidebook Committee has also updated the information session packet to be available as a PDF online, and is also creating an interactive self assessment for couples to see if CCC is right for them.
Updates to the Mentor Manual also focus on it being used online through the CCC website. New couples will be given “members’ level” access to our website as soon as dues are paid, and can begin being mentored almost immediately. Since they have full access to the Mentor Manual, the weekly homework and agenda are laid out clearly from the beginning.
So how can you help? See below for a few tips:
1) Share the value you find in CCC with your friends and family. See the article on Sharing the Love of CCC in this newsletter.
2) Let your Source Couples know if you’re willing to lead information sessions or mentor a new couple.
3) Let our Operations team know if you’re willing to be a Sponsor Couple. We want to expand the sponsor resource to any couple who joins without already knowing others in CCC. The Sponsor Couple is an additional point of contact to build personal connections in the CCC community, and to be a resource for any questions or concerns that come up before or during the mentoring process. Contact Operations by e-mail at [email protected]
4) Consider joining our subcommittee. We’re having a lot of fun and it’s very rewarding to be able to assist in the smooth running of our organization. Contact any committee member through the member directory on the website.
